i'd like to do a 2:1 or possibly 3:1 package to upgrade, preferably at the 1

parsons or turner would be the primary piece, and i have a bunch of badass secondary pieces (meeks, reddik, faried, etc)

It's gonna take injuries to derail this train that is Redd's team.

Lillard, Dragic, Beal, Griffin, & Gasol
For
CP3 & Harden

Not te mention the SAC trade that propelled Isaiah Thomas to 35+ mins.

I'm stuck in the middle with a average team and average keepers.

As long as people allow themselves to get trade raped based on names, the teams with the "studs" will always have the upper hand in that they can always upgrade their middling team by fleecing people for studs

Meh I did that to make room for Kobe and Anderson, who both are now out

Yeah I have learned that very quickly in this league. I haven't had a stud since I started. I love the keeper element of the league, but it only allows for 3 or 4 contenders.

Yeah i think that's because you have to give up so much to get them. You will be a contender next year for sure due to the fact that you can flip both of them and turn them into 6 or more really good players if you want.

Im not knocking the strategy to win in the league, hell I tanked last year. Im just pointing out that I think the keeper format creates about 3 or 4 teams that can compete each year because everyone else is trying to get better for the next season.

FWIW I don't think a top seed has ever won this league.

yea..there's several ways to acquire assets in this league.

You can choose to sell/acquire pieces individually with picks, or get/receive bundled pieces for a stud.

Each method has been successful for different owners.

This in my 3rd year in a row as a serious contender, and I've traded away one pick in 3 years. This whole "studs have upper hand" argument is dumb. I should have run out of "studs" w/ my strategy by now.

While I love the return I got on CP3 and Harden, I will be a sad panda this offseason when I go to click my keepers, and they aren't on there.

I've got a ton of valid keeper options to choose from, but I have no idea what i decide on.

Right now, I'd say

PG Lillard
SF Anthony
PF Griffin

Then I have to choose 2 out of
PG Thomas
PG Lowry
SG Beal
SG Dragic
SF Matthews
PF Gasol
C Hibbert
C Jefferson

Some FAP to keeper sets and early picks, while others FAP to championships.

Yeah you are in contention this year because of the keeper set you had coming into the year.

I am talking about perceived value of the "big names" as far as trade talks.

Im not complaining. I know it's because teams are selling out. It just impacts the game heavily when you can trade 1 guy for the 3 very good players. Two teams competing would never make that trade.

I couldn't trade Nic Batum, who is having a near equal fantasy season in terms of value compared to Harden, for Lilliard, Dragic, and Gasol.

Im starting to sound like Karma

For the record, both trades I made were offered to me unsolicited.
