Streaming is part of h2h category play tho.

If I'm down in blocks going into Sunday I should be able to scoop someone to go for the cat

You already cracked down on streaming by going to 45 games/week and expanding rosters. Weekly pickups is overkill and competley ruins the free agency.

or if you're scouting out some young guy, you're basically forced to take a huge risk on him while being completely handcuffed in supplementing your roster that entire week

nah. If your 18 man roster can't win you a cat, you shouldn't be able to win the cat w FAs.

Disagree there. The larger rosters are more for dynasty prospects. The weekly game play shouldn't be affected just bc the rosters are larger.

Also if someone blows up on a Monday night you shouldn't get until sunday night to read the news and put a bid in for him. Daily pickups makes the league much more competitive.

Eta I like that the waivers aren't completely open, but once a week goes way too far.

I was wondering about all this as well. Figured it was set up the way it was because with daily waivers in basketball a faab is pretty pointless.

Works great in Votto. Although if we were doing daily I'd maybe up the $ amount to $100.

Found this in the league constitution but I don't think this is accurate

Roster size and FAAB
We talked through FAAB options but ESPN does not allow continuous FAAB bidding, meaning the waiver would be once a week and then it would be a free for all

You just enable it every day every one goes right back to waivers that aren't picked up

Well in baseball you have prospects getting called up and closers getting injured. Can't imagine a scenario in basketball where a player on waivers becomes highly in demand overnight.

Wouldn't be a TDxx league without someone not reading the rules and complaining when season starts.

How did Krama get three players (2 of which at 0 dollars) and I didnt get any?

I put a bid on Henderson for 0.

Krama was awarded Toney Snell for a dollar then Gerald Henderson for 0....

And now he is still higher on the waiver order than me.

I have no fricking clue how this shite works.

He was higher in the initial waiver tiebreaker?

Don't worry you'll have another chance to make another move in 6 days

It's set to reverse order of standings so it was probably based off the nomination order for now.

So every selection he has goes through before my first selection?

We expanded roster sizes and explained that we would just run waivers once a week. Being a dick about it makes you look bad, not anyone else.

I will put it to a vote regarding running it daily...it's really not a big deal to me either way and that's a simple change. We cannot change the budget limit though, so spend wisely. Just know that with FAAB and Waivers you're not going to be able to pick up free agents without the waiver wire - Like I explained to y'all, they don't have "continuous" FAAB bidding. Not going through explaining it again. The other option is running waivers daily.

Lets hope more than 5 people vote this time.

Yeah, and that is an ESPN default that cannot be changed. Blame them.

I get why he started ahead of me...he was awarded a player, then awarded 2 players for 0 dollars and is STILL ahead of me on waivers.

My understanding was he makes a claim on Snell, then he goes to the bottom of the list...if it gets back to him he gets his second choice. Well it didnt make it around, it just went right back to him.

He only goes to the bottom if the tiebreaker is used. If someone else bid Snell for a $1 you would have gotten Henderson.

T's comment got me a lil salty.

Just to be clear, that's how it is currently with once a week pickups

Sorry.. Please explain this 1 more time bc I must have missed it. What is continous FAAB? I'm talking ab running a faab bid every mornong and the players go back to waivers that aren't picked up. Seems continuous enough for me.
