There has to be a penalty, can't just be a gentleman's rule (especially with dudes like knat and papps in the league)

My understanding of the penalty was that you lost all stats from that day.
I thought you were suggesting going in and setting their lineup to 50. Are you saying you would just bench all guys for that day?

yeah, he is saying that if someone goes over 50, we will go in and bench all of their players. I think that is the only way to make sure they lose their stats for the day.

If someone has 45 starts going into Sunday, and they have 10 going that Sunday, what 5 are you going to bench? Or are you benching all 10 that day?

If you go over 50, they all get benched. So you can have 10 there if you want, but as soon as the 51st player's game starts, we will change your lineup to have them all on the bench and you will get stats for the 45 you had going into Sunday.
Just keep track of it and you won't have anything to worry about.

I remember this happening once before in TDBBL, I don't think it impacted the week so it didn't matter much. Not sure if there's something in place in that league in case it happens again.
With the large roster sizes, each owner could easily go over 50 weekly in this league.
I think this is the best solution though. Can't believe ESPN doesn't police it even though you can set a game limit. You can only manually change stats in points leagues.
