So, I'm one to go a bit wild with my trades, and last year it hurt me early on but worked out to get me the championship from a 2-7 start. Well... I'm at 1-3 and decided to throw in the house at what I think will win me or at least keep me in contention: I believe Gurley is the next AP. I gave up Amari, Odell, and Ingram for Calvin, Gurley, Golden. Maybe it's bad but I like it. Well, after the trade, this guy has awoken me at 3AM wanting Gurley back in a "let's trade back". How can I cash in if I do decide to trade back? Guy must have gotten hyped by my hyping of Gurley pre-trade

My team (1-3)

Tyrod Taylor
Calvin Johnson
Jordan Matthews
Todd Gurley
Ronnie Hillman
Tyler Eifert
Martavis Bryant

CJ Anderson, Khiry Robinson, Duke Johnson, Ahmad Bradshaw, Golden Tate, Karlos Williams

Other team (2-2)

Carson Palmer
Odell Beckham
Jeremy Maclin
Eddie Lacy
Mark Ingram
Travis Kelce
Allen Robinson

Amari Cooper, Brandin Cooks, Chris Ivory, Devante Adam, Lagarrette Blount, James Starks

Gurley, Hillman, Golden for Ivory, Ingram, and Cooper.

Throw that out there and see how desperate he is.

Maybe. Amari looks like the next Beckham though. The Bears doubled him all game, which is almost unheard of for a rookie. This kid has worked Joe Haden and Patrick Peterson, safe to say he's going to eat single coverage alive and he's leading the raiders in targets. You got trade raped. Cooper has been consistent, Ingram has been consistent, and Beckham isn't going to get any worse.

I think you made a mistake bro.

WR1 Odell - going to catch fire soon
WR2 Amari - he's proven himself through 4 games
RB1 Ingram - Not sure if he keeps the pace, but he's #4 RB in PPR.

RB1 Gurley - You gave up too much even if he was AP.
WR1 Megatron - I still like Megatron ROS
WR? Golden - Throwaway IMO

I'd much rather have a top 4 (incl Flex) of:
Ingram
OBJ
Amari
JMatt

than:

Gurley
Megatron
JMatt
?

His team looks stout after the trade:
RB1 - Lacy
RB2 - Ingram
WR1 - OBJ
WR2 - Amari
WR3 - Maclin

+he has Robinson/Cooks as WR4/5s and RB3 Ivory.

I don't know the league structure, but with Carson and Kelce, the trade probably made him a true contender for champ IMO.

its kind of a desperate shot to get back in + I believe in the Broncos running game. Maybe I'm the taco of this league...

Just a crazy thought... Would you have done a LeVeon/Calvin Johnson for Odell/Amari/Ingram trade? *knock on wood*

I watched a lot of tape on Gurley before doing this trade and the dude has some crazy vision, runs smart rather than super fast, is durable, can receive, and is the workhorse of team's backfield. Did the same kind of analysis last year before for Odell in Week 3 and stashed him. (Though there was almost no risk except dropping a bench player) Plus, he's "done it" against the Cardinals and forced that game to go his speed. The real test should be this week. I'm hitching my wagon on Gurley. Could be a colossal mistake (Hyde) or get me back in...!

I'd probably sell my left nut to get Le'Veon, but even then it depends on your team scoring the most points possible. OBJ/Amari/Ingram > Le'Veon/Megatron - depending on who fills that 2nd WR loss.

Le'Veon IMO is the most valuable player in PPR leagues. I'd trade anyone in the league for him straight up, incl Julio, AB84, Nuk etc. But in a multi-player trade, depends on team needs/structure.

All that said, I hope we get in a league together next year. You're on my list of recommended players if someone drops out of a league.

Hopefully I'll have two more championships to add to the resume to qualify myself heh. Wish I was in a TD league this year!
