Been the commissioner of a 10 team PPR league for 2 years now. We use the prior years finish to determine the next years draft order. This year, a manager has dropped from the league on short notice. His draft spot would have been 3rd. I've already got a replacement manager to fill his spot.

The way I see it comes down to two options:

-Let the new manager take his draft spot and life goes on, or;

-Slide everyone up one spot and have him draft 10th

Which is the most appropriate method and is there another I'm missing here?

That is the only way to do it unless you have some retarded rule like draft order being determined by seniority.

If it's a keeper/dynasty league, the draft order has some impact on the existing team, I would let him keep the draft spot. If it's redraft, the draft order doesn't matter. In that case, let the new guy pick last.
