We don't know details yet but on a player this important, we wanted to let you guys drafting tonight know that Green Bay WR Randall Cobb left the game with a shoulder injury.
From Jason Wilde: "#Packers make it official, say Randall Cobb has a shoulder injury."
Others reports are calling the injury a collarbone injury.
ESPN's Bob Holtzman thought it was his hand: "A week after Jordy Nelson tore his ACL, @rcobb18 has already gone to the locker room. Looked like a right hand issue. He was not happy."
What I pull form Holtzman's report is that it's never a good sign when a player is visibly upset going to the locker room and this appeared to be the case with Cobb.

It's still a "developing story" with lots of uncertainty but here's what we have right now on Randall Cobb's injury.
Our Craig Zumsteg had this take:
"Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb landed hard on his right shoulder after making a catch tonight, and was immediately taken to the locker room.
"Initially many people, including myself, thought it had the look of a collarbone fracture. Ian Rapoport however soon Tweeted, "Among the worries, broken collarbone is not one of them." This is good news, but it should be noted that it doesn't exactly clear anything up. A fractured collarbone would've virtually guaranteed that Cobb was out through the Packers Week 7 bye. But without providing more details, we're left to wait and wonder what the injury actually is.
"Hopefully it's simply a minor AC sprain. Most players miss zero time with AC sprains. Even those that do miss time usually miss only one week. But before we celebrate that Cobb got off easy, we need to hear that he's avoided other injuries of medium severity, such as shoulder dislocation or any injury involving the SC joint (where your sternum connects to your collarbone).
"Some of those injuries would sideline a player anywhere from zero to maybe six weeks, depending on the severity. So while it looks like Cobb might've avoided the worst of it, we're not through this yet."
Our Dr. Jene Bramel had this:
"Here's what we know as of the middle of the Packers' second half. The team is calling Cobb's injury a shoulder injury. Ian Rapoport says a broken collarbone has been ruled out. Cobb returned to the sideline after halftime without a sling.
"When I viewed the video, I thought a broken collarbone or an AC sprain were the most likely diagnoses. With the collarbone ruled out and Cobb on the sideline, the AC sprain is most likely. If that proves true, Cobb's return will depend on the severity. Players generally return quickly, with some missing no time and others needing 2-4 weeks of rest. It's unlikely Cobb would need surgery and it's unlikely he'd be moved to IR-return with an AC sprain. His return will depend on pain tolerance and range of motion.
"What bothers me here is a phrase in Rapoport's tweet when he added, "Among the worries..." before saying the collarbone isn't involved. An AC sprain is a relatively easy sideline diagnosis. It may just be an odd choice of words, but Rapoport's note leaves the possibility of a more concerning injury open. That could be a SC sprain (which cost Danny Amendola and Ben Roethlisberger 3-4 weeks) or a labral tear in the shoulder (which could require surgery or a longer recovery period) or even a recurrence of the bicep injury he had last year which didn't limit him much but could be a bigger deal now.
"Let's hope I'm reading too much into this and we hear later tonight that Cobb is expected back quickly with a low grade AC sprain."

This happened literally five minutes after I drafted him.

Don't want to talk about why (for sake of luck) but I find this to be better value for Starks.

Ian Rapoport ?@RapSheet Sounds like #Packers dodged a bullet with Randall Cobb’s injury. Teammates left believing it’s minor, that it’s likely just a sprain.

Ty Montgomery becomes relevant now. Rookie from Stanford who can play.

*searching through tzimme posts to find when he predicted this.

Per Rapsheet, Cobb is believed to have escaped with a minor sprain. It's the best possible news for the Packers, who couldn't afford even a short absence from their new No. 1 receiver. As it is, Cobb now has 14 days to get ready for Week 1, and should be ready to roll as a WR1 against the Bears. Cobb's status will be updated sometime in the next 24-48 hours.
