It's time boys and girls. An invite to rejoin the league has been sent a few weeks back

League members:
TTT - PAID
FTH - PAID
CQQ - PAID
DarrylJames - PAID
TN09 - PAID
Nonetheless - PAID
DCB - PAID

FT98 - PAID

Need to hear from the guys who haven't joined if they are interested in another year.

Items to consider:
-Draft date
-top 6/bottom 6 for W/L
-starting to have 1 keeper each year; lose the round you picked him and maximum of 3 years to keep that player
-buy in ($25 last year) and payouts (I think we did 150/75/25 in the past)
-any other suggestions you want to bring to the table
-Applicants for the open spot(s) will be voted on

Keeper Rules going forward

-1 keeper per team
-You lose the round ahead of where you drafted the player in, and each additional year kept will lose one round ahead
-Example- you draft a stud in the 4th this year, next year you lose your 3rd to keep him. The following year you lose your 2nd to keep him and so on.
-A player can be kept for a maximum 3 years, no matter if he has been traded or not.
-You CANNOT keep a 1st round pick because there are no rounds to lose in front of a 1st
-FA pickups will be treated as an 8th round keeper for year 1
-A player drafted and then dropped will be treated as if he was drafted when kept (i.e. drafted in the 6th, dropped, picked up and kept by another owner- will not count as an 8th round FA keeper, owner will lose a 5th to keep him)
-No trading draft picks during the season...after the season, draft picks may be traded for players to keep.

I like higher buy-in and keeper(s), but happy with whatever.

I'm down for increasing the buy in and wouldn't mind top/bottom 6.

That's great

I just want to try and win another league. In 3 pay leagues came in 2nd in two and 3rd in the other.

ETA: I just used my 10,000 post on this one. Should automatically qualify me for a spot

I remember you having a recommendation last year that I hated, but not against any of these changes.

1) I'm down for the top 6/bottom 6 scoring. I've never done it before, but it makes more sense than the head to head deal.
2) Keeper is fine, but I'd prefer that it be limited to 3rd round and later. I'd also prefer that the round kept advances each year (i.e. I draft Aaron Rodgers this season in the 5th round, keeping him next year costs me a 4th rounder, etc...)
3) Nothing against the current buy in. I would prefer raising it a bit ($40?), but no biggie.

Could you give us a lineup/scoring overview?

This is exactly the plan if we do keepers however it will be 2nd round or later due to the advancing round each year. Example- you draft someone in the 3rd round, you keep him next year in the 2nd round, then the following year in the 1st round. Once you get to that point, you can't advance a round anymore so you can't keep the player. Probably a max of 3 years so someone doesn't get an Odell as a last rounder and able to keep him for eternity

Definitely want to increase the buy in. Keepers is a horrible idea. It's the number 1 reason I've seen leagues fail. It's much easier to find replacements with a total redraft league. It also takes away one of the funnest moments in fantasy which is the draft.

I believe we need to replace DCBJR also.

It is only 1 player...you still have 95% of the draft staying in tact. Because you lose a round of the player in which they were drafted, it makes it to where you can keep zero players if you want and it won't be any negative impact.
