re: Pelicans Talk Fantasy Baseball League - Year 2

Wins are terrible IMO. What I hated the most last year

Sorry, I meant I am against wins and losses. The way that the pitcher pitches doesn't have much bearing on a win or loss.

I mean a game that ends 1-0, pitcher of the losing team probably gets the loss. Giving up 1 run enough to get a loss?

5 and -3 looks good or we could make it -5

I'd also bump QS to 5

re: Pelicans Talk Fantasy Baseball League - Year 2
Guys, I think we got scoring pretty much figured out (still open for suggestions). We need to figure out what positions we want and/or DL spots.

C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF (3)? Util?
SP (5), RP (2)
Bench (6? 8?)
DL (1?)

Also, do we want to go with ESPN again or Yahoo? I see Yahoo's has opened. Don't think I've ever played on Yahoo but some of the things they offer:

quote:

Commissioners have the option of adding "NA" roster spots, and these will function similarly to the DL. So you'll be able to stash minor leaguers and/or suspended players (or anyone on the bereavement list) without burning a bench spot.

New and improved app, with drafts and mocks for Android and iOS devices

Also, I know we did a cap on SP starts last year but I can't remember what it was. I thought this was good to have. Any suggestions on how many?

re: Pelicans Talk Fantasy Baseball League - Year 2
I suggest:

C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3OF, 1or2 Util

2 SP, 2 RP, 4P(serves as SP or RP)

6-7 bench

1 DL

I say no to the NA spot, because if you are into minor leaguers etc, you should have to pay the price of sitting them. If it was a keeper league I'd say go for it, but not a redraft league.

Okay, I rarely have input on anything but I hate Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. So static and ugly to manage on (I started playing fantasy sports on Yahoo! before ESPN took over). I would 100% love to move every league we have to ESPN. Apps, etc. work 100 times better and smoother for me!

Thanks for the input, guys.

I always like the 5 SP/2 RP with a cap but Id be open to that. Your thoughts on a start limit?

Coach, thanks we will stick to ESPN.

re: Pelicans Talk Fantasy Baseball League - Year 2
Only reason I am supportive of 2 sp and 2 RP with 4 P spots is in case someone wants to own more than 2RP

Is a SP limit necessary ?

Dpends if you feel like the hitter/pitcher scoring is equal. If it is, then there isn't any reason for a cap.

If you arent going to limit to pitchers, you better limit weekly pickups

If I see Im losing ERA no matter what, some may grab every SP for the rest of the week to win in SO and innings
