Fine, but I do seem to remember Sproles steeling some of the spotlight from McCoy last year early on screen plays. Just saying. Mathews is also chomping at the bit. Just saying.

The most important thing for me though, Murray. The consensus around here was that he was worked to the bone last year. We'll see.

Tyrod Taylor isn't scaring anyone. I imagine McCoy is going to see stacked boxes like he's never seen in a Andy Reid or Chip Kelly offense.

Every high usage player carries an injury risk. People are still taking up Calvin, Julio, Gronk, AJ Green etc in the first two rounds despite them always been nicked. But they are beasts and will win you leagues, so you look past it. The risk in there with Murray as it is with McCoy. Murray is just a great position to pick up where he left off last season

And before last year (his contract year) Murray missed a total of 11 games in three years. Just sayin.

OK. I agree he's a risk. Never said he wasn't. I just think he's less of a risk than Murray. Again, I think it's close. As you have said before. Instead you guys like to come in here and frick with people for amusement. Good for you. Have fun.

It's just funny that everything has to be an argument on here. People give opinions. I have my reasons for being worried about Murray this year. Truthfully I'm worried about both. But if I had to pick one to go with, I'd pick McCoy. I gave my reasons. Clearly you disagree. Let it be.

it just makes me curious when someone mentions Murray's carries but doesnt note that McCoy has had just as many. Like i said, just posting the facts. Maybe it will help someone make a more informed decision.

i personally like murray. I dont like to own players on shitty offensive teams, regardless of how good they are.

The thread is titled Murray vs McCoy, what do you expect

Fair enough. I thought the same thing last year with McCoy. Maybe Chip will have more faith in Murray because it's his guy.

And for me, I've just seen it too many times around here with Murray. He shows signs of greatness then gets hurt. It happened every year (except his contract year).

I do agree that McCoy has had 300 plus caries a season for the past two years, and that is concerning. But Murray has only completed one full season (his contract year). Just worrisome for me.

FWIW, I know what you're getting at, and it makes sense, it just sounded funny when I read that

Rex Ryan is known for a run first coach yet he didn't produce a top 15 fantasy RB in NY in the last four years. Why would it be any different with a terrible line, inexperienced QB and a RB who's a toe injury away from being out for multiple weeks. Plus the offensive coordinator is historically known for not throwing the ball to his RBs.

Why is the criteria the last 4 years when he had bilal Powell, Chris Johnson, Ivory etc. He had RBBC with those backs, no WRs, no QBs

He hasn't had a RB worthy of 300+ carries since Thomas Jones.

You can say you think McCoy can get hurt, sure. The ole Joe Schmoe injury predictor. The guy is gonna tote it 300 times if healthy. What he does with it remains to be seen. But a RB getting 300 carries has value regardless of who it is

That said Murray is the better play for me, I just thought your reasoning was suspect per the usual
