For me, I will never play in a league again that has a married couple when money is involved.

Context: 4 way tie for the last playoff spot and The couple are playing each other this week (last of regular season). One in the relationship has secured a spot the other is in the tie.

The one who secured the spot has blount, Bell and another RB on a bye. For Receivers on his bench, he has Tate and Michael Thomas.

So he puts Bell in the flex and picks up Cadet(saints) and starts him at RB2, instead of starting bell at RB2 and putting Tate or Thomas in the flex.

Am I suppose to think this isn't giving an advantage to his partner?

And this is coming after they did a 1:1 trade for a superior player picked up in auction waivers, earlier in the season. Husband paid more for the player than the wife, wife gets mad, and they swap a bench player for the better player right after waivers. Husband then proceeds to drop bench player immediately.

NEVER AGAIN

Don't get risky during the draft. I usually go for the homerun or the guy getting super hyped up in the first few rounds. Montee Ball and Cordarrlle patterson are a few of the people in the past who burnt me.

Also getting an elite qb is a must. Use to play that "Have multiple qbs and play matchups" shite and that screwed me the past two years.

Dont trust WRs with crappy QBs no matter how talented the WR/or tempting the target share is.

Poor Nuk and ARob

Stay retired!!
Played for 3 years back in the early 2000's (2 NFL, 1 College)... won 2 years, runner up in the other
Came out of retirement to fill in a spot for a friend in need... all these new rules.... waiver rules, trade rules, all the collusion...
I'm going back into retirement
ETA... Finished this year in the #1 spot before the playoffs

good tips so far.

agree with getting a solid QB. got Brees this year and loving it. i usually go late on QB and battle it all year.

stick with the known commodities if available, wait until rounds 6 or later to take shots in the dark.

stay vigilant with the waiver and free agencies all year. most leagues aren't won at the draft, they are won during the year with the right ww/fa move and trades.

Took a stand on a few players I shouldn't have- need to do a better job staying honest with guys who are much better than the situation they're in.

Completely disagree and would say I learned the opposite lesson. I waited until the 12th round to draft a QB (Cousins) and it made the rest of my team much better, because when guys were drafting QBs in the 5th/6th round I was able to get guys who ended up being fantasy studs, one being Melvin Gordon.

Look at the top QBs this year. Outside of the top 2 (Rodgers, Brees) the next 5 (Ryan, Mariota, Prescott, Cousins, Carr) are all guys you could have either drafted in the 10+ rounds or picked up off waivers. Even up to this week you can find startable QBs on waivers. If you play match ups you can easily stream all year at a QB1 value and not have to waste a high draft pick on a QB.

Look at the first QB off the board this year in most leagues, Cam Newton. He's the #14 QB right now. If you drafted him, you probably had to take him somewhere in the 2nd-4th rounds. Which means you took him over guys that may have been every week studs for you.

Waiting to draft a QB is the better strategy almost every time.

Yeah, that's collusion. Straight up and obviously. How did the trade go through?

Maybe having one or at least a consistent one is, but drafting one high isn't. There was elite qb production this year, and really every year that I can remember, that either didn't get drafted or went late in the draft. You just to be ready to act quick to take advantage of it.

The real lesson is that none of these rules mean all that much. The only rule that matters is to be adaptable to whatever comes your way because things aren't going to work out the way you think. I started out this year with a lot of depth at rb and questionable wr's, and now I have more depth at wr and practically none at rb.

Find value in the draft and waivers. The meaning of this is entirely situational. And then get lucky. That's it.

Stack RBs.

I'm competing in every league this year because I loaded up at RB.

Most important thing to me was realizing that it's smart to trade away 2 good players for 1 great player. Don't be nervous about giving up too much (within reason) when you're getting the better player in return

Eddie Lacy is a fat fricking piece of shite. I bought in so hard on that fat bastard bouncing back to being a top 10 RB

I did to.

But he was running well, it's just McCarthy was only giving him ten touches a game. Then when he was obviously hurt, they started him the next game.

Honestly frick McCarthy for being a dip shite
