Looking back at the draft --- who did you pass on that cost you?

In looking back at your draft, what were some players that you could have picked at your position in the first couple of rounds that you passed on, that ended up being studs?

In one of my drafts, I could have had Lesean McCoy and Matt Forte in rounds 1 and 2, but I picked CJ Spiller and MJD. I was pick #5

Ray Rice over Jammal Charles. Twice.

Took MJD in the 2nd over a slew of very good WR's. and RB's for that matter.

I made a bunch of bad choices, Doug Martin in the 1st (over McCoy), Mcfadden in the 4th (over Demaryius Thomas), and David Wilson in the 6th (over Reggie Bush). I still somehow won the league with late round steals in Desean Jackson, Jordan Cameron, and Julius Thomas, and a lot of good trades

I understand CJ over McCoy, but MJD over Forte? C'mon man!

I hit on my 1st and 2nd picks in both my leagues. I drafted Charles and McCoy in a 12-team PPR (steals), and drafted Lynch and AJ Green in a 12-team standard.

My biggest misses in both leagues were Chris Givens over Josh Gordon (doh!), and Zach Sudfeld over Cameran Jordan (ugh).

I know, I know... I got caught up in the "big name" and kept telling myself he led the NFL in rushing in 2011 in his last full season...

I hear ya man, I was high on MJD too. I would've taken him early in the 3rd if he was there. I was big on Forte though, had him ranked as the 10th RB pre-draft.

i did this. still got Forte in the 3rd. How? i have no idea. last night was his worst game this year. in the championship. MJD outscored him.

Roddy White over Jimmy Graham

At the time it was reasonable, but i knew as soon as i made the pick i would regret it.

Auction dynasty league. Needed a TE fill in for Gronk. Went after 1st round pick Tyler Eifert instead of Julius Thomas.

Ended the season one game out of the playoffs. Would likely be the champion if I had chosen JT.

A mistake I made was taking Stevan Ridley in the second round. However, it was too early to take guys like Reggie Bush and Frank Gore. The only other RBs still available that were worth a second round pick was MJD... Was not about to gamble on that. Ridley is an incredibly talented runner - was not expecting him to be as unreliable as he was this season. I did, however, draft Murray in the sixth round as my third RB, so that worked out well.

I drafted Dwayne Bowe in the fourth and passed on Eric Decker, Pierre Garcon, Jordy Nelson, Antonio Brown, and DeSean Jackson...

Spiller and Wilson will never be drafted by me again. I'll give Dougie Fresh a second chance tho.

Not so much who I passed on and more of who i released way too early.

Jeffrey
Cooper
L.Bell

immediately come to mind.

In another league, I drafted Spillar and that was a massive mistake.

in ppr i tried a new thing and went wr,wr, wr and i won my league yesterday. I will definitely do this again next year, every week either 2 or all 3 of my wrs would go off and all i needed were mediocre rbs to put me over the top. i took megatron, marshall, demaryious first 3 picks. ended up with demarco,dmc/jennings as my rbs.

Demarco clearly saved you. I went WR/WR with Megatron and Dez but I had to swap Dez for Shady. It helped also drafting Gordon and Jordy

i had pierre thomas and stashed andre brown. pt had several big weeks and brown was good a few. rbs are always getting hurt and every year there are 4-5 rbs that can be had late rounds that will end up being good. I just figured by getting 3 stud wrs that are almost guaranteed pts it was more safe. and every week either 2 or all 3 of my wrs would score 25, 30, and even 40-50 pts each some weeks.
