Depends what you mean by factor. The lions have been raving about his pass catching and run after catch ability dating back to training camp last season. He had 4 scores through the air in limited time last season

Even if he catches 30 balls again, which isn't a lot, that's enough of a factor to negate some of Abdullah's value

It's not that Abdullah isn't good. If you knew his role then you could justify his cost. We just see this every year w rookie rb

Lions apparently want to use Riddick in the slot moreso than at runningback

Yep

Which I would then ask is it better fior Abdullah/Bell to have Riddick rotate w them in the backfield or would it be better for them if he was another option on the field with them siphoning targets w megatron, Tate, Ebron

I'm happy with where I drafted Abdullah. Hoping people overvalue the high in my other drafts.

I'm pissed my draft isn't until September. Dude is going to be R3-4 by that time.

5th rd can go 100 different ways, I wouldn't have a problem with Abdullah there

If he starts trending into the 3rd rd, you'd be skipping over proven commodities which would be questionable

Was really hoping to steal him in like the 7th to 8th round... so much for that

I really like him though. Based on his vision and cutback ability and size, I predicted him as the most productive rookie back in fantasy this season.

What's the board's opinion? Joseph Randle or Ameer Abdullah in the 5/6th round?

Abdullah

I think Dallas will be a hot hand backfield. You'll never know who will have a big week

I think I'd rather randle slightly. Both are in similar situations tho

Proven starters who have never rushed for 1000 yds?

I'd prefer Randle over Abdullah, I'd consider him if I were to go WR heavy in the first couple rounds.....but wouldn't feel great with him as my RB2

Abdullah for me. Randle is just not that talented. Randle is the definition of average athleticism. He's not really that big at 6'0" 208. He has tiny hands. He doesn't have particularly great vision. And he is not that bright (Who steals underwear?). I think Dunbar is the better back and isn't that much smaller than Randle in terms of build at 5'8" 195lbs.

Abdullah has some special traits with respect to explosiveness, quickness, and lateral agility. I don't think Joique Bell is that great and he is coming off injury.

It was a reference that even though Dallas has a great o-line, Randle cannot gain yards on the bench which is where I think he will be more often than not as the season progresses.

Bell isn't great, but he's the only back in DET that can run between the tackles. Good pass catcher, will probably get GL work

Not saying Abdullah takes over as a 3 down back, but I think he has an opportunity to carve out a much larger role than anyone anticipated. That's why the ADP for Bell and Abdullah has switched with Abdullah continuing to rise. Just meant that it is not like a situation like where the Seahawks praise the shite out of Christine Michael, but he has Lynch to go through.
