I'm on the fence here because Latos has been lights out so far, but I have doubts about his ability to maintain this level of success. I like the Ks that Fernandez can provide but he's been inconsistent. What's my better option for the long run? Keep Fernandez or pull the trigger on this deal and acquire Latos?

TIA

It's tough for me to get insulted by a trade offer, because everyone values players differently and are likely offering something as a negotiation starting point, but even I am insulted for you.

And then doubly insulted that you would consider it.

YEA... really? you had to ask this board? Look latos is an intersting player with a freak pitch but look at his last year era..

maybe if this was another better player and you were worried about an inning limit or injury with Jose... maybe

But Jose has top 5 pitcher stuff IMO and throws a dangerous combo of pitches

Edit: plus Latos hasnt gone anywhere near 200 IP in last 4-5 years so he isn't much better injury wise.

This is close. I talked to Latos this offseason and he said he was back. I believed him when I saw the size of his bicep. The combo of that along with Jose being in Miami and not being able to focus because of all the gorgeous latina women. I would go with Latos.

You should counter offer your worst player for his best player. Maybe he'll get the point.

This would be like trading Carlos Correa for Aledmys Diaz.

If you have to ask, then you deserve Latos.

Maybe if you didn't hate him you'd actually put him in your lineup.

I was forced to play him yesterday and the cocksucker went 0 for 3, along with just about everyone else on the team.
