Is it stupid or smart to draft before the preseason ends?

Injuries??
and
Brady gets unbanned...
I feel injuries are the biggest risk as to why I would prefer a draft post preseason but what are some advantages to doing it before?

There are no advantages of doing it before. But I know for a lot of leagues it is just really hard to get everyone together for a live draft. Obviously if it's online it is much less difficult.

As long as it's after Week 3 of preseason I think it's ok. But anything before or during week 3 is a huge risk. Most of your starters aren't going to play the final week of preseason.

Drafting before the pre season helped me.
Foster in the 9th, Deandre Hopkins in the 5th (for some reason I feel as though they had no clue who he is)

There are definitely advantages to doing it before, if you do your homework. Preseason and increased FF coverage on TV/internet cuts into a good player's edge

Especially for an in person draft. There will be several not paying attention.

Dumb.
Draft after week 17 of the regular season and then who ever drafts the best starting lineup with total points should win.

We always draft after the 3rd preseason game.

There are no sleepers if you draft after the 3rd preseason game. Early August is where the value lies but you risk drafting a player that gets injured before the season starts. You still have the waiver wire before the season to offset that though.

Early drafts are for the more experienced fantasy players...much like the auction format draft vs the snake draft.
The late snake draft is the safest option for the less experienced fantasy players.
