I'm in a 10 person PPR league and thinking about not drafting a QB

Been playing fantasy for 7 or 8 years now and I'm tempted to try something different. I have the 12th pick in a snake draft and am thinking about just avoiding a QB until a very late round or waivers. I get back to back picks and by the end of the first round there won't be any top their QB's left. I know it's all situational but why waste a pick on a middle of the road QB as oppose to using that spot to fill up on an extra WR/RB while the rest pick QB. I understand this can seem dumb at first but I think it would work out in my favor.

Well my first question would be, how do the people you play with draft? Do the ones that take Rodgers in the 2nd take Romo in the 9th? If so, you will be left with some pretty slim pickens. Second question, if you had the opportunity to grab say, Stafford in the 11th, what WR/RB might you draft that would put up potential top10 numbers there? Then third, you're going to have to drop a player to pick up a QB, so why not draft one?

I think in your position both Rodgers and Luck would be available when it gets to you. First QB didn't go til pick 12 in my 12 team PPR draft.

I'd go WR, WR with the 12th and 13th pick.

How do you have the last 2 picks in a 10 man PPR, but also have the 12th pick. It should be pick 10 and 11. Or did you trade a keeper for the pick?

It really just depends on the people in your league. I drafted last night in a 10 team PPR (5th pick). Rodgers and Luck went right in front of me. By the end of round 3, every team had a QB besides me and I just waited and got Tannehill in the 8th and Stafford in the 11th for insurance. If you played with these people before, you should have an idea of how they draft.

I usually take qb very late and load up on rbs and wrs but I think it's a mistake to lock in that strategy. Let the draft come to you, if for some reason on your first two picks there are still good rbs I think it's a bad idea to say no and take wrs.

I took peyton in the 4th in the mtv ppr draft because I didn't like anyone else close and didn't want to reach for a rb or wr.

If the benches are not too large, this may be the best year ever to stream QB's or just select two very late rounders.

Rodgers
Luck
Brees
Wilson
Roethlisberger
Ryan
Peyton
Tannehill
Stafford
Romo
Eli
Cam
Brady
Rivers

There are 14 QB's that can be decent starters. Then you have guys like Flacco, Bradford, Palmer, and Cutler. Once the season gets going there will be weeks you can play Bridgewater and because of his legs Tyrod Taylor. 49er's will be playing from behind a lot, so Kapernick may be useful. There are just a ton of options.

So far I have been targeting Brady or Tannehill in the 9th-10th and backing them up with Bradford in the 10-11th.

guess it really depends if you are in a 10tm league or a 12 tm league.

10 team league, who cares. the waiver wire is loaded

12 team a little more risky. but why not take a sure thing QB in round 10 rather then a guy you have no clue about.

I've done something similar before in a 14 team league.

If you do decide to go with this route, I would suggest doing some research on QBBC. Basically, you would be looking for a set of QBs that will give you the most favorable defenses. I was going to do it this year, but we already drafted and Brady dropped to me in the 5th. I took a gamble that he would have a 1 game suspension at most and backed him up w/ Bridgewater.
