You cannot really go back and retroactively fix the problem now as those guys have all played. But if you caught the problem before kickoff, as commish, you should've went in and edited the guys lineup.

Yeah, I guess you can't go back and put those guys in, but you can adjust the scoring.

The thing about giving money back is that now these two people get off scot free. If I were commissioner, if there's any inkling of collusion, I'd reorder the lineup. I wouldn't ruin the competitiveness for the rest of the league. No money back at this point imo unless you want to set a precedent.

That would have been an ideal setup.

Why not? (I can reverse the lineup retroactively if I want to)

My thinking as well. Neither is in the playoffs rightfully and a refund would be a win for them and a loss to the playoff teams.

If this is a 20 yr running league, this issue should resolve itself.

Bc there's no way that as an owner that's invested 20 years in this league to let something like this go unpunished.

If it went down like you laid it out for us, every owner in this league should be pissed. I'm not saying my league is better than yours, but the owners in my league would "rise up".

I dont know the details, but Deandre Hopkins isnt in everyone's lineup. You cannot really just go cherry pick all the high scorers off his bench and assume he would have started them. He could have legit thought Hoyer had a big day as Big Ben has been extremely up and down this season. Now if you would have made those calls before they play, fine. But to go back now opens up a whole new can of worms unless you can get the whole league to agree that you should do it

That doesn't really make sense. It should be in the commissioner's power to actually make changes and make final decisions on what changes to make. Other members wouldn't have access to those functions. Unless you are saying that the commissioner shouldn't do anything and just let the person get cycled out next year due to unpopularity.

Who is the RB that got replaced by Gray?

I think what he would have to do would be to replace the obvious plays. Maybe leave in Hoyer, but take out the wr who everyone knew wasn't going to play and put in the rb who is a top 5 player.

For some reason he left out the RBs name, which is odd to me.

What I'm saying is that the others owners should be pissed off enough that this situation we get resolved. I know he's the commissioner, but the other owners have a voice.

I don't know if there's anything you can do to fix what happened. I just know there should be something that happens to the owner/owners involved. Like I said in my 1st post, they WOULD NOT be offered a spot in the league next year. Especially if they gonna take the stance that's its my team, i can do what I want. frick that.

As a commissioner of multiple leagues, I would not go adjust the lineups for yesterday. If someone is out of the playoff hunt and forgets to set their lineup the last week, it's very similar. Fitzgerald was a game time decision. Yes Big Ben is better than Hoyer but with Gordon back, it didn't have to be this way. I read a report yesterday morning that Gray and Blount were supposed to split carries.

Basically what I'm saying is unless the guy admits that he did it intentionally, then I wouldn't adjust rosters for yesterday. I do agree with everyone else about kicking this guy out of the league. I wouldn't necessarily kick the other guy out unless he's been involved in suspicious things in the past.

Had this type of stuff happen a few years ago. Since then I make it a point before the season starts that you must play your "optimal", for lack of better word, roster or I, as the commish, reserve the right to change it. Pretty much you can't leave a QB on a bye in with a QB playing on the bench. Injuries the same way. Really nothing that you can do for guys playing lesser quality players over players with more potential other than not invite them back. Real dumb situation for sure

It's exactly as I described. We have a league-wide vote going now and its currently 6 votes to 0 in favor of reversing the lineup changes. The guy getting screwed is pissed everyone else is just dismissing it as an a-hole move but not ending friendships over it.
