Unless it's a D/ST, really trying to avoid skill players on the short week. Would you bench Hyde for any of these options? 0.5 PPR

Quizz vs MIN
Henry vs SEA
Perine vs LAR

Hyde makes that offense run, and he is mostly game script proof. Taking any chance of sitting him this week?

I'm sitting Sammy Watkins. Been burned too many times. Hell week one Brady and Kelce got me.

I got 14+ out of Hopkins last Thursday. I wouldn't bench Hyde

Hyde has one of, if not the best, matchup of any rb this week. Start him with extreme confidence. Plus, he's a feature back and the other rbs you're discussing are all backups right now. Play your studs.

I only use it as a tiebreaker. I wouldn't bench a guy I consider to be an every week starter.

No.

Thursday is only a factor when choosing between two fill-in players. I drafted my starters to start, and I'm starting them.

There are very few backs I would consider benching Hyde for, no matter the day or time they play. Your options are all VASTLY inferior given information we have at hand now.

Bell
Zeke
Hunt
Gurley
Melvin

I think Hyde is 6th-7th best back this year barring injury.

you've been burned by Watkins even on normal weeks, so if you were ok with those results, no reason to think he cant land you another whopping 2-4 points

quote:

With the 49ers passing game stuck in neutral last week, mustering just 99 yards, Hyde propelled the 49ers offense and nearly gave them a shot at the win. He carried 15 times for 124 yards and added 3/19 receiving on 6 targets against the Seahawks in Week 2. He dominated the backfield with an 82% snap share, which is unlikely to change as long as the 49ers stay competitive for four quarters, which they should this week. Hyde is already a third of the way to his previous career-high in receptions of 27 set last season, so his usage in the passing game has made up for his lack of carries. Hyde gets a favorable matchup against a Rams defense that’s given up a league-high 295 rushing yards to the prolific rushing attacks of the Colts and Redskins (tongue planted firmly in cheek on that last statement)

RB Carlos Hyde has played 76% of the snaps in each of the 49ers’ first two games which is markedly up from his snap share when healthy last season (about 64%). He was involved on a huge 41% of the Niners’ offensive plays. FB Kyle Juszczyk (32% snap share) and #2 RB Matt Breida (23% snap share) were both in the mix as well.

Wonder why the TNF boogie monster didn't get Kareem Hunt, Alex Smith, Tyreek Hill, and Mike Gillislee too?
