How good is Devin Funchess gonna be this year?

He's been going HAM in camp.
Guy looks great in pre-season.
Should Benjamin owners be concerned?
Some think he can grab the #1 role in this offense as Benjamin gets acclimated. He might not give it back.
Thoughts?
Did you draft him?
This is the sleeper of the year IMO, although the hype train is rolling right now and guy probably is no longer a sleeper.

I certainly like where Funchess is going in drafts more than Benjamin.

At his current ADP definitely.
Number of mocks I've done he's gone way above ADP so if you want him you may need to consider paying a premium.

What does this mean for Cam Newton? From a talent depleted offense last year to having 3 HUGE targets in Benjamin, Funchess and Olsen. I know Olsen had a great season and Funchess played but was ineffective, but now a healthy Benjamin and a year of development from Funchess could equal and scary offense with Newton's running ability. He may be primed for a season we've never seen before.

He's due for regression IMO. You can't always just plug in guys and go over what was done last season
It's weird to say but Benjamin going out was good for Cam last season, he had to learn to be more accurate and make better reads
In that third preseason game he went back to the cam that floats deep passes and just forces it to guys like Benjamin
Overall it's just going to be hard to match what he did last season, he'll still be a top 3 QB, and possibly QB1 but I don't see him putting up numbers that surpass last years

Cam has still only produced 3 1,000 yard WR in 5 seasons and still completes less than 60% of his passes.
