So should receivers and QBs each get 3 points for a passing TD? That way a TD gets 6 points no matter what!

no that shouldnt happen at all, but that is where your logic would take you, not to the fact that QBs should get 6 as well.

you said "that TDs are 6 points, so why don't QBs get 6?" im saying that FF is already giving out way more than 6 points per TD on average.

additionally, QBs dont actually get credit for scoring in traditional NFL statistics unless they run it in. the Passing TD could be any number that works for FF (since it is not counted as scoring) and that number happens to be 4.

ETA: also, none of this actually matters and it's just a league by league preference that only has minor effects in drafting and roster moves. fun to discuss, though.

Hey, guess what, it also works when that number is 6. Just draft accordingly.

yeah i just think that it is widely considered that 4 is a slightly better option for league parity and drafting and shite.

ive seen leagues give partial points for carries. yeah, you can draft accordingly, but that doesnt automatically mean it is a good idea.

I guess I'm a fan of 6 because it puts emphasis on the QB which is where it would be in real football. I know fantasy =/= reality, but going down the list for RBs when the top QBs are still on the board seems counterintuitive.

I never understand why people in favor of 4 pt leagues dont get this. QB's should be the most valuable players in fantasy, not RB's or WR's. They are the most valuable in real life, why not make them the most valuable in fantasy? When you think about it, it's ridiculous to think that RB's are usually the first 5 picks of drafts.
