How do you value youth in Dynasty Leagues?

This is my first time doing a dynasty league and was wondering how you value younger players in regards to their older counterparts when doing the initial draft. Web are able to keep half our roster every year without any restrictions, and there is no salary cap. Would drafting an Andrew Luck type quarterback over Brady and Brees be a smart move, and likewise for other positions.
Do you generally use an age multiplier for value or anything like that? I mainly just don't know how to put a quantitative value on the age of a player in regards to drafting.

You have to try and win now at all costs imho. Get the guy thats a stud now if you can and figure out the rest a couple years from now, Brees still has a lot of value going forward, and you can always move him to a contender one year for a collection of younger players if you are out of it.

Depends if you're going for it all this year, or building for the future. Aside from going WR, WR, WR, my roster is mainly geared for future value. RGIII in the 5th, and I drafted a slew of rookies. One or two injuries puts me completely out of contention this year.

No. You just have to get those breakout players while you can really take advantage of their value. You'll completely wiff on most, but if you can snag a couple studs before they become relevant, you've really got a cap and roster advantage.

Doing one of these for the first time this year. We're keeping everyone and just drafting rookies every year. I like the idea of drafting to just win now.
Anyone with experience with these leagues, how do they compare to regular leagues? More fun? I'm worried about it getting stale after awhile
