looks like he'll get his IP from SP and once a few of them break out he will have some pieces to move around

While you are waiting on the other league, walk me through your strategy this season. Unreal offense, but no K/9 or relievers. Thinking outside the box, or just not done making moves?

I have Soria, Zych, and Smoker at RP

But it's a multifaceted approach that actually goes back to last season once I mailed it in.

I tried RP heavy before, didnt work, Ive found SPs are way more important. Ive found some decent RPs, they will be out there, so I used the ones I had as sweeteners in deals. I got em for free, I'll get a few again. Just last year I owned at one point in time or another: Brach, Colome (traded), Dull, Butcher (traded), Bedrosian (traded), Kintzler, Siegrist, Blanton. They turn over every year, are volatile, and I have a RP watchlist already 25 deep this year. So I say, why not get value at harder to find spots for them

which leads me to loading up on SP. Keep in mind a few playoff teams hovered around 8k per 9 last season. Dude won it all with an 8.4.

So lets look at this.

Garrett Richards is a 8 k/9 guy, pitch count but expect K numbers
Keuchel 8+ his Cy year, expecting a rebound
Shoemaker sat at 8 last year and flirted w 9 during his hot streak
Aaron Sanchez sat at 7.5 w/ room to grow
Tyler Anderson was 7.8
Severino, Wheeler, Bradley, while volatile, are above 8 kinda guys
Giolito was a 10 guy in the MiLB
Matt Boyd flirted w 8, he's a 9 k/9 guy in MiLB

They all wont be good of course, but you get the point, i expect the starters to sit above 8 for the year.

I have Zych who is a near 13 per 9 guy in his short MLB career and should see hlds, Smoker who brings flame from the left side could run into holds and will be a over 10 k guy, then Soria who will run into some holds and not kill the K

TLDR:
let the offense eat
out of 10 SPs, let 5 be relevant.
Add RPs as needed
Possibly use prospects to add RP

Worst case, punt sv/hld. Real worst case, tap into offense for help.

FYI, I played under that same philosophy when contending and made the playoffs both times.

Pretty much the exact same thing I did last season and finished 2nd regular season. IP and QS can add up.

a lot of people giving out strategy tonight, if he is taking notes, he can make a run in 2019

2019 is my current plan. If I get antsy, I feel like I can make some moves to contend next season.

Papz, I got a message for you:

I'd want a better pitcher(and still young) with Freeman, I don't see that person on your roster. Someone will have to lose a trade to get Kris Bryant.
