I'd rather Hahn, Holland, Duffy, Gausman, Pomeranz, Niese, even Peavy over most of your pitchers are Arrieta/Ross.

Gallardo you know what you're going to get.

Getting critiqued id the best way to improve. Sometimes you need other people to tell you a guy sucks or somehhng like that

The offense will play. In a perfect world, I draft someone (pitcher abd hitter) else in weiters and adams spot. Use Vogt as my catcher.

For now, I'd run and drop porcello Peralta and Tillman. Pomeranz, Hahn, and Gausman all could hover around 3 ERA and 9 k/9. At worst 1 hits that and is your sp4. You don't need crazy sp depth in a h2h.

You will be competitive and that's all you can ask on April 1

I think you guys are selling Tillman short. I think he could be a valuable asset to a rotation. I'd definitely drop Peralta and Porcello though.

Somebody mentioned dropping Boxberger. I'd definitely keep him. He k's a bunch of guys and could end up closing games all year for TB.

I like Tillman too. He had a solid 2nd half last year.

OP doesn't have a huge glut of offense he will be able to trade for SP down the road, and he's not going to win a league with Arrieta/Ross as his 1/2 followed by a bunch of meh filler SP. If he truly wants to compete, I think he'd be much better served gambling on a trio of guys like Hahn, Pomeranz, & Gausman than rostering Porcello/Tillman/Peralta

I'm fine with gambling on a couple of those guys. Hell, look to see if Carlos Martinez is available. He was just named the fifth starter. Daniel Norris is another young guy with upside. I just think there is a spot for a guy like Tillman to anchor the rotation and give you good innings.

Is Salazar not healthy or not in the rotation or something? He is my favorite choice out of the free agents because he has really nice stuff and will strike out a shite ton of hitters.

Salazar has shown no signs of improvement. He's been terrible this spring

Noah syndergard could be an option for your minor league guy

Re: Tillman- there is nothing sexy to me about a near 4 ERA and a k/9 below 7. Hitters park in a hitters division.

I would have for sure because I thought he was in the rotation, but I don't know that much about Danny Salazar apparently.

You all of people should know that prospects are shiny new toys that could have a painful adjustment period. I don't think Bradley is ready yet and will have a poor WHIP because I think he lacks command.

Near 4 ERA for Tillman? Dude has a 3.42 ERA over the last three years and has been an innings eater. He is not sexy, but useful.

Bradley has like 1 BB in 17 innings this spring. Just an FYI

He's got a career era of 4 and has only been a full time starter 2 years. If he was 2013 Tillman, then yeah I can use him. He's a better IRL pitcher and there are at least 5 options Id rather on this guy's FA

If a guy is defined as an "innings eater" in fantasy then that's a guy I personally wouldn't own. Have at him though

his FIP is 4.22 over the same span

Whenever ive watched him i always came to the conclusion that he had flat stuff. But i said the same about Arrieta and Phil Hughes at one point. Both eventually turned it around and improved their numbers across the board.

Bradley
Shipley
Blair
Delgado
Corbin

DBacks have 5 guys waiting in the wings to grab rotation spots. Who knows who is first in line.

Id be searching out a guy who would be more of a "guarantee", so to speak, to have an impact in the next few months.

Maybe like a marco Gonzalez or Thor.. Someone who is clear cut next in line if someone gets hurt

Daniel Hudson gets a chance before all of them.

I was just pointing something out to VKC he may have missed.

Like I asked Sheep, i want to know the qualifier for the NA spot.

I think Hudson may be relegated to bullpen work until he can increase his workload. But yeah, the dbacks would be rotation is better than their actual rotation
