ESPN Fantasy Baseball + Ethics(?) Question

Two things - first time playing in an ESPN league and it is set up with ten categories (5 offensive and 5 pitching), and the guy I was playing and myself tied at 5-5. Somehow, it gave me the win and I am 1-0. I searched the setting and rules this morning for a while and found absolutely nothing. Anyone know how they came to that determination? It should also be noted we have a tie column in the standings.
Secondly, the reason we tied is because I lost my lead on ERA with Buchholz going last night. His ERA was 2.189 and mine was under 2. After Buchholz got rocked, mine went to 2.455. So, my question, he had no pitchers going last night and could not pass me in any other categories (WHIP, K, W) so is it OK to just sit him or did I do the right thing and play him? Obviously, sitting him was the call, but I felt kind of slimy. What is the opinion on a matter like this?

I would have sat Bucholz
That's why there is an innings pitched minimum
You were probably designated the home team and your commissioner forgot to change the setting that says something to the like "in case of tie, home team wins tiebreaker)
OR
You need to go to a desktop computer. Go to the scoreboard tabs and take your cursor and scroll over ERA, WHIP, all the ratio stats. This way you'll see the full number and not the abbreviated one.

Good call. I was the home team, BUT it made me go all the way down the setting list and look at schedule. It said K's were the tiebreaker. In a way I guess that makes up for no IP limit.

nothing wrong with sitting a pitcher if you are already winning the categories.
He lost me mine last night to, but I was chasing QS's and K's and ended up losing ERA and whip
