Drama Inside: CSB edition?

So, get a text from a buddy of mine earlier.
He said that a guy in his league proposed a trade to him.
He would get Gronk and the other guy would get Cooper.
Straight up.
He asked my opinion and I said ab-sol-utely.
He accepts the trade only for the trade to be vetoed by the Commish.
Turns out, his buddy who offered the trade IS the commish, who then turns around and blasts my buddy via group texts with the league, saying "gotcha" and such.
My buddy, who was perturbed about the incident, says "F It" and drops everyone from his team and quits.
This is a relatively large cash league ($250).
What say the wizards of the fantasy board?

wtf kinda bullshite is this? If the trade was offered and accepted, it's a legal trade. frick that gotcha middle school shite. ETA. And I'm sure there's a back story to this.....

Yeah, there definitely has to be some back story here or something. Taking everything at face value, I would be pretty pissed too. That kind of seems like a pretty big abuse of league commissioner power. I probably wouldn't join the league again the next year, but doing what OP's buddy did is super stupid and immature. $250 is kind of a lot of money to just piss away because someone hurt your feels.

Commish is a tool for pulling that stunt.
Your friend is an idiot for dropping all of his guys in a $250 league.
Should've just finished the year out, won the league, and not join next year.
