derp..it was the principle of the argument.

It wasn't my argument, it was ya bois, saying players in Norv's "system" produce.

Yeah, well Josh Gordon produced because he's a dominant WR, not because he's some average dude who benefitted from Norv's system, yet that is the argument being used for Patterson

So I was simply using that exact "argument" to show that if you use that metric, Torrey Smith should fall in that same category based on the "system argument"

I never said Smith was Johnson

Dro, you looking for another league since you bowed out of DATFL? $50, Auction, PPR with the draft this Sunday. Any interest?

You, too, Jimithing.

funny you mention the Browns. Who was their OC last year? Norv Turner. Who is now the Vikes OC? Norv Turner.

Over the past six years, only the Colts attempted more passes of at least 15 yards downfield than Norv Turner's led offenses.

If a guy as talented as Patterson is seeing 10+ targets a game, something is bound to give. He could catch half the balls thrown his way and still put up huge numbers

derp

does not compute

What are you trying to prove?

Your argument back fired on you regarding "system" OCs

Difference being he feels Patterson has elite talent like Gordon; I don't think you'd find anyone arguing the same for Johnson and Smith.

By saying Norv Turner offenses throw the ball downfield a ton and Patterson is in line for a grip of targets?

The only thing that keeps me from drafting CPatt in mocks is because of a bye week issue if it conflicts with my WR1-2...Otherwise he's my WR3 all day long, and multiple times on Sundays

I knew Dez was gonna be elite.

I knew DT88 was gonna be elite.

I just don't see it with this guy.

He's just "a guy" to me.

Kubiak peppers his No. 1 WRs with targets

You're still doing nothing to validate your point

every offensive coordinator peppers their no.1 WR with targets if they're an elite player

Talent and has speed, and will be a solid WR3 with upside, I just don't see him being a top 5 WR in the league at some point.

"Just a guy" was a little harsh, guy has talent, I don't see him becoming elite.

He is good return man though, so obviously his value goes up with leagues awarding points for return yards.

As far as him becoming a Dez Bryant or a DT88 or a Josh Gordon, I don't see it happening like you alluded too.

If he goes off this year I will be the first to eat crow in this thread .
