I'm looking at the website and see that NFL.com's DEFAULT settings is that you would lose your FIRST TWO ROUND PICKS if you elect to keep TWO players. If you elect to keep just ONE player, you lose your FIRST round pick.

THAT'S JUST THE DEFAULT. IT CAN BE CHANGED!!!!! DON'T FLIP OUT JUST YET.

In order for me to change it for the way we all voted to set it up, I will need to set up a CUSTOM DRAFT BOARD on the website. This will obviously take some time, since I will need to go in and look at all of your keepers, track down when they were drafted and then individually remove each of your draft picks based upon where that player was drafted last season.

With all that being said, I will need to have some time to do this, so I need to change the current KEEPERS LOCK DATE from what it is now, which is the date of the draft, to at least a week before the draft. Since we haven't locked in a draft date yet, and since we typically have done it in the week between the last preseason game and the first regular season game, I am going to change the KEEPER LOCK DATE to the weekend of the THIRD PRESEASON GAME. So you all need to have your keepers locked in by that Sunday. If you don't plan on keeping any players, there's nothing for you to do at this time. If you don't get your players locked in before Sunday Night, August 24, at midnight, then you will no longer be able to elect any keepers after that time...

Something else I don't think we discussed when we voted to change this to a keepers league was how to handle TRADED players. If you keep a player you picked up on WAIVERS, you are changed a middle round pick to keep that player. HOWEVER, if you keep a player that you TRADED for during the season, that player retains their draft order value, so if the owner who originally drafted him picked him in the 2nd (for example) you will lose a 2nd round pick if you elect to keep that player. So y'all need to do your research on that also, before you decide who you're keeping.

good stuff...the only question I have is when will we know the draft order?

What pick I have determines my keepers...like whether or not I keep Jamaal Charles.

ya, gettin the money is the hard part. haha...we should each submit our keepers on here/email with the round and pick # to speed up that process

That would help me out tremendously!

I was looking at how I have to set it up on the website and it's a pain in the arse, so it seems. I have to manually remove each person's draft pics based upon which players they pick. So I have to research all that first before I can do it.
