I've been hearing a lot of chatter that Abdullah will be a workhorse this year for the Lions. He showed flashes last year and with the loss of Megatron I could see the run game getting emphasized more.

I have him in a keeper league (5th round) but I also have Landry (6th), Ajayi (13th) and J Matthews (14th) and can only keep 3. I've been planning on keeping the latter 3 listed but have been beginning to open up to swapping one out with Abdullah.

I'm not touching him, if I can help it. Nothing is more infuriating than having a player on the Detroit offense. Plus, they throw the ball 55 times a game. Sure, he'll get a few dumpoffs, but I just don't think he'll be a sure start every week to justify a 5th round keeper.

Plus their offensive line isn't good at all. If he was on another team I'd pick him. Not with Detroit though. I wouldn't touch their RBs.

I bit hard on abdullah last year and it didn;t work out at all, I haven't given up hope though. I still think he's talented enough to be a factor in PPR leagues..still I'd probably go with ajayi for a 13th, just better value.

Abdullah is the worst fantasy player of the 4 listed and has the highest draft penalty. I wouldn't consider keeping him at all.

Is Ajayi worth taking a risk as your rb2?

These are value keepers. Each one would be selected rounds before what you're paying.

If you like Abdullah, just grab him with one of your picks.

No way you should keep him at that price over the other 3 guys

You think ajayi will produce rb2 numbers or more flex-like?

Dolphins very publically tried to replace Ajayi multiple times in the offseason. Doesn't inspire confidence for a fantasy owner.

We're targeting Zeke in the draft, tried to get Miller back, tried super hard to sign a RFA, drafted a back, and brought in Adrian Foster for a visit long before he was ready to sign somewhere.

I'm sure every team after 2 wanted Zeke. They were content with letting Miller walk that was obvious. Drafted a change of pace back which they needed anyway and brought in a guy who might not even start the season.

Gase is the guy there. The same rumblings were around when Knowshon was in Denver. The staff supposedly hated him but he ended up as a top 5 fantasy back.

A 5th round back thought to be an afterthought. Falcons drafted Coleman with a better pick the next year and Freeman still shined through with the help of an injury. Ajayi's tape from college is outstanding. I'm not saying he in elite in the NFL but he can stay on the field all 3 downs and is the best option they have. Them looking for other backs likely has to do with them not being sure if he will hold up over the course of the season or not. If you're really that worried about it draft Damien Williams in the last round.
