Why and How did Trump Carry Evangelicals So Big League?

He can't even read scriptures correctly yet he got out the Evangelicals in huge numbers.
It's obvious Trump hasn't been a devout man in a long, long time, if ever... yet you'd think he was John Paul II or Orel Roberts the way he carried Catholics and Protestants.
I know Catholic priests have been giving homilies on Hillary's abortion views, but was it all about that?

When the other candidate's inner circle emails include trying to manipulate the Catholic church, satanism and pedophilia, it is pretty easy to see why Evangelicals broke from Trump!

Both my parents are very Christian and both hated Trump, but still voted for him
My Dad tossed around the idea of GJ, but couldn't due to some of his more liberal views
So in the end, they chose to ignore his obvious shortcomings as a Christian and vote for Trump because he more aligned with their political beliefs

Simple, he was a better choice than Hillary Clinton (which is not really saying alot).

1. Promised conservative Supreme Court nominees
2. Promised removal of 501c3 restrictions from churches
Those make up maybe the strongest evangelical-friendly platform I've ever seen from a presidential candidate, honestly.

Many in this country are republicans first, Christians second and try to mold their Christianity around their politics instead of the other way around.

Probably because Hillary Clinton is one of like 6 people on earth that believes late term abortions are ok in under any circumstances.
