It mandated that no one could be turned down for coverage for folks with a pre-existing condition and that insurance companies couldn't dump a person with a serious illness because it wasn't fiscally preferable.

I hope none of the Trump supporters become seriously ill once Obamacare is dismantled.

It does also have some shortcomings, for sure, like some limitations on physician choice and the rates were not as low as promised.

Though if you think that it benefited only low income AA's you would be wrong.

There were middle class folks that were financially wiped out because they were cut from their insurance coverage once they became seriously ill.

Which precludes millions from actually getting it. Yes, real smart. Healthcare shouldn't be welfare.

Obamacare sucks and you should feel bad for making excuses for it.

It's already been stated MULTIPLE times that this would be part of the replacement of Obamacare, but.....

Insurance is a gamble. If you have a pre-existing condition, it's not a gamble any more.

I'm worried that this will ruin my plan to just pay the penalty for not having coverage and just wait to get sick before buying insurance. That way I don't have to pay all the premiums. Right?

Buddy odds are they'll keep parts of it like the clauses involving pre-existing conditions. That's one of the points that if I recall both sides of the table agreed upon

I pray none of your family friends or any loved one of yours ever falls ill and is denied coverage or access to healthcare as I'm sure everyone on here despite our jokes agrees with. We want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT and part of that is taking care of our own.

there are more ways than one to do that my friend and I hope we can all work together to achieve that

We should allow people to buy auto insurance after they have accidents. Obamacare is expensive because its mandates don't make any fricking sense. It is now a pyramid scheme funded by the young, healthy people who pay a ton for something they don't need. It's like someone saw how much a disaster Social Security is and said, "do you think we could do that to the health services market?"

Or you just have insurance from the get go since it would be affordable. If you wait until something happens for insurance then you are the fool.

Insurance rates had sky rocketed BEFORE Obamacare and was already out of reach for many folks, not just AA's.

I would be glad to see Obamacare strengthened and extended.

Fly in the buttermilk is that the GOP controlled House won't fund it through the rough spots/carriers dropping it, and so on.

The USA has the worst -healthcare system- among the developed nations. It is crazy.

ACA is horrible and those advances in R&D from medical companies that will not be cut now will save one of your loved ones. You are welcome.

If you have a major medical issue it will wipe you out if you have Obama care or not. Just let them get the care they need and declare bankruptcy if it is that bad.
