boards opinion on solar city long term

Curious what the consensus is

My opinion is that solar cells are not a viable source of electricity, when the tax breaks expire........

If he pulls off making them cheap enough it could be huge.

technology will change often.
the contract is way too long.
I looked at getting it for my house.
If you are young and sure you will stay then its a good deal.
current technology will get the job done.
but I won't buy into a 20 year contract, knowing that in 4 years, their technology will be beat, and I can't sell the house, with the old technology on it. Its a huge price. And they do raise the price every year over the contract, although PROBABLY not as much as your local utility will.

Hey solar city could make it two in one million, who knows.
I choose to invest in things I consider viable, I don't think this is. But who knows, I am certainly wrong at least sometimes
