Residential Window Tinting Recs Needed in BR

I have windows along the entire west side of my house. The afternoon sun is brutal in terms of heating up our house. We're looking at tinting the windows to help with this issue.
Anyone have any experience with this and/or recommendations for installers in BR?

Home Depot used to sell window tint for home windows. Pretty cheap from what I remember.

Did you notice a difference after you tinted the windows?

I bought some static cling type window tint and tinted my two west facing windows in the living room. Cost about $20. It was easy to install. Haven't really paid attention to the heat factor since it was installed to reduce glare on the TV.

Solar screen works better and cheaper.
