Eugene Daniel, Jr. (born May 4, 1961 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is a former professional American football cornerback who played 14 seasons in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts [1] and Baltimore Ravens from 1984 to 1997. Daniel attended Louisiana State University. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the 8th round of the 1984 NFL Draft. This draft choice paid dividends only a year later when, in 1985, Daniel tied Albert Lewis of the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC lead in interceptions with 8. During his 12 years with the Indianapolis Colts, Daniel was a fan favorite and held many longevity records since surpassed by quarterback Peyton Manning.

Lee High Rebel.
Ask him if he remembers the F4 tornado in Bossier City the night they went up there to play Captain Shreve that almost killed me when I was just a wee lad.
One of the alltime LSU greats.
What a career.

If fans believe that JJ was beat up while at LSU, you should have heard the complaints about Daniels while he played corner back at LSU. Coach Stovall had to answer a negative comment about Daniels almost every week on his radio show.
Congratulations to ED for keeping the faith in himself and his great NFL career.

LSU in that era had an embarrassment of riches at the DB position. Daniel, Hobley, Teal, Williams,Britt, etc.

ED is a wonderful person and represented LSU so well after leaving the University. He was a GA for a year or so in 1999 I believe. Great guy.

Played with him in high school. Class guy all the way. Never had an inflated ego; just a hard working down to earth person and a great LSU rep.
