Absolute Bull shite that Tarantino and Dicaprio weren't nominated.

agreed. same can be said for Affleck as director.

I love Waltz and he is absolutely deserving of his nomination, but I felt that Leo had the stronger performance in Django. I'm convinced the majority of the Academy just straight up doesn't like Leo.

Phoenix doesn't beat DDL

I've stuck with Phoenix from the start even when most were saying that he wouldn't be nominated and I'm sticking with my opinion that he will win.

Lewis is a good actor but he wasn't that great. It wasn't Daniel Plainview in "There will be Blood" or Bill the Butcher in "Gangs of New York" I found him rather blah!

I disagree with this. The way he played Lincoln's subtleties was brilliant in my opinion. I think you have to watch it a second time and really pay attention to the way he is playing the character to get a full appreciation because it is quite low-key.

In saying that, while I think DDL deserves the Oscar, Spielberg nor the film should win Director or Picture. I have many issues with this movie, and I will be really upset if it wins(which it probably will).

I'm just amazed that a little girl from Houma has been nominated for the award.

Are you serious? I found her performance one dimensional and predictable. All she did was play the mean bitch with PMS role.

I found the roles played by Jennifer Lawrence in Silver Lining Playbook and Naomi Watts in The Impossible much more interesting and difficult to perform.

Sam Jackson as well. I'd say that was his best performance yet.

This shocked me as well.

Silver Linings Playbook seems pretty unimpressive to have so many nominations. I hate the oscars

It's the best romantic comedy in years. I'd highly recommend it.

Exactly how I feel. Lincoln simply was not a better movie than Zero Dark Thirty.
