unfortunately you picked a "bad" one to go to. Between injuries and call-ups for world cup qualifying half the damn team is out. With that said, expect to still have a good time. Wear comfy shoes, most people don't sit down except before the game and at half time. Stadium is gorgeous, If you have actual seats (as opposed to GA) I'd take some extra time to go and explore.
The Gulch (near the stairs coming up from MARTA) is where the tailgating happens and march into the stadium.
No clue on parking or any of that sort of thing. I live in Birmingham and rode MARTA in for my first game at the benz.

Do you have any questions in particular or things you want to do? Where are your seats? Driving, MARTA, or what? Tailgating, going with family, want to see the stadium, etc.

Meeting the wife down there as I will be taking marta after work. Seats are in sec. 132. Don't really care about missing/resting players, just wanted to go to a game and see the new stadium. My wife is 8 months pregnant so hope she will be able to see sitting. Plan to hop on marta around 445. Where would be the best place for her to park?

If your wife is driving, then maybe consider the Yellow Lot and have her wait for the shuttle to drive close to the stadium since she is pregnant. It is on the corner of Ivan Allen and Northside Drive (entrance on Ivan Allen). Easy to get to from I75/85.
I believe it will be $20 to park there. If she needs a closer lot, then it may cost more or be open to those with pre-purchased parking passes.
On a weekday game, you may have some sections sit some or the stands be a little less full.

Keeper got a red card early in the second half with us down 1-0. We went up 2-1 playing with 10 men and then shite the bed in the last 5 minutes of the game + 7 minutes of stoppage time.
