Seemed like the administration listened to us.

Less piped in music
More of the band
Halftime was great
Campus was fun

It felt like the tiger stadium of the past

Stadium not full for the biggest home game of the year. No! As a student in the 80s we would arrive at 3 for a 7 kickoff. They had a DJ set up in the student section to play music for several hours. Fun!

Best atmosphere this season but still no where close to what it used to be. No excuse for the fans to be leaving early!!

Was much more enjoyable for us yesterday. Two season ticket holders (the husband complains about everything) left with 1:12 left in the first. People to my right was a family of four who were into the game as we were. SEZ was loud and proud yesterday.

That is very early, but when I went to LSU, the student section got packed so fast that you'd be sitting in the aisles during certain games if you didn't get there around 5 or 5:30. The student section was extremely lacking yesterday (and 1/5th empty). The whole stadium didn't feel like Tiger Stadium to me until the Chark TD and everything after. Then it was awesome. Of course, it was hot as hell and we were playing like crap early, so it was difficult to get up. Gage set the stage for the 2nd half to happen.

This was my first home game to attend in about 8 years. Although the East side thinned out, the game experience was close to what it was in the past.

I think more people would have left at halftime if we weren't honoring the 2007 team.

i obviously understand getting there early enough to get seats, but hanging out in the sun for 3.5 hours with overpriced food, water, and no alcohol is just really, really weird.

All students arrived early in those days. I remember Bama in 81 the student section was packed by 3:30. Bear Bryant walked past and it was so loud at 3:30. He leaned against the goal post of the south end zone and just stared at us and shook his head.

You realize it’s LSU we’re talking about here. Name another university that consumes more alcohol and has a festive atmosphere than BR?
