Just thinking...i mean....if
we get an effort offensively(ay least last week)with ensminger calling the plays, maybe the kids would player harder under his system that they knew worked?

I mean people say this or that against Bama or Fla last yr but it was at least a start in the right direction? The offense did look great overall....

Because if you. Can't hire a guy that got fired from Ole Miss for sucking and a guy who got fired from Auburn for sucking in the same year.

Ensminger looked good when we could run all over people and like shite when we couldn't.

The play calling at the end of the Florida game sucked.

You can’t see how bad the optics would be if we did that? Promoting Ed was bad enough but not hiring someone from the outside at OC would be even worse.

This description of "he's not sexy enough" is inadequate and misleading.
Truth is Orgeron had no record to support his hire as HC ANYWHERE and Orgeron had create an illusion that his vision and "his staff" would, taken as a whole, be an upgrade.
To do this keeping Aranda was an absolute necessity. But that was insufficient to get Orgeron over the bar, so he claimed Lane Kiffen would come in as OC and Co HC. Apparently, Alleva bit.
This was all a charade orchestrated by Orgeron.

O needed to make a splash hire. It is what his entire pitch for himself was based around.

OTRFB (O The Rosy Finch Boyz) sold Alleva (per the Binders) on the idea of Kiffin coming to LSU so we could have a premiere Offense and Defense.

When Kiffin bailed he had to come up with someone else. Falling back to Ensminger wasn't in the Binders. Plus he had to spend some of that money Alleva thought he was saving.

That first half WAS Ensminger's offense. What do you think happened when Orgeron "got involved" in the offense?

Ensminger did and admirable job under the circumstances last year. But, hiring him as OC is akin to hiring Orgeron as head coach.

FYI, we have real issues on the OL that is going to make our offense less productive than it otherwise would be no matter who is coordinator.

Coach E wanted this job, and to triple his pay. Don't buy his public, face saving comments. Our AD, boosters, and most fans, including the lion's share here on the rant, wanted a big name glamor hire. We got one, and he is f...... Up with gadget ball schemes. Ensminger would have been a great hire because he ran a diversified pro style offense that got the ball into playmakers hands and set records. We should keep Coach O, fire Canada, and bring back Ensminger as OC.

The only reason that sounds like a good idea now is because we're doing so bad on offense.

I tend to believe Geauxst Writers version of what happened. I've seen nothing all season to make me think this Canada guy has a clue.

Canada is not a consistently proven thing from what I can see. He's had some good seasons, but also got canned and evidently didn't see that coming.

I am not sure that he is a good fit for this program or the SEC, however.
