Check my post history, I hated the pick. He exceed my expectations though because I thought he was going to be on IR to begin the season.

What's the exact injury to his shoulder?

It sucks that we lost Anzalone, but I seriously don't think we'll have a drop in production with Robertson in the game. Robertson doesn't move(speed & quickness) as good as Anzalone, but he's a well rounded player that rarely screws up. I like Anzalone more in pass coverage, but Robertson is a reliable player.

Anzalone will get better over the next few years, but as of right now...there really isn't a big discrepancy in production between the 2 imo. I'm actually surprised that Robertson didn't start over Anzalone in week 1.

Anyone was getting abused in coverage the first four games, so I am not sure why people are acting like he’s great at it. He’s not as bad as the guys we had before there but he’s still bad/mediocre.

Honestly I like the Anzalone pick but Robertson's strength is coverage, for a LB anyways. He's decent against the run, solid at blitzing also. At this point in their careers I'd take Robertson over Anzalone in coverage. Within a couple years if healthy, Anzalone will be a good coverage and actually good all around LB.

PFF says he's 70.8 overall while Robertson is at 49.4 overall.

Says to me that in 158 snaps (62.7% of available snaps), he's made a positive or neutral impact. On the other hand, Robertson in his 94 snaps (37.3% of available snaps) has been a net negative.

Perfect example of when PFF doesn’t tell the whole story.

I’m very aggravated that anzalone got injured, guy was having quite the rookie year. That being said I feel like having Robertson replace him we wont see much drop off at all. Plus he’s a veteran .

I saw the play and he barely had his arm contacted by the RB he tried to tackle. If that’s all it took, his career will be short. Should have taken Beckwith or Riley.

We were going to take Riley.

First, it was a WR. He was hurt running down a WR screen on the sideline.

Second, the force of the contact had little to do with the injury. He flew from the linebacking position to the sideline and extended his arm while going full speed in the opposite direction. All the leverage was against his shoulder

It was a hell of a play
