The current debate is whether to build a fence around the courthouse or put portolets on the lawn to keep bums from shitting on it.

I guess putting them in city jail isn’t an option.

Basically Monrovia

Downtown Lafayette is having an infestation of the homeless as well. I heard buses showed up one day around the flooding in Houston and just dropped a bunch of them off.

At first I read that as "Moron activated sprinklers". It does fit.

Hopefully there might be change as it was announced today the former and current governments are now under FBI investigation.

Sad part is just more incompetents will be elected.

The talent pool to choose from ain't exactly deep, it barely even qualifies as shallow, or a pool, more of a puddle...

People with sense are not running for anything in city govt in a shithole, unless of course they are corrupt and want to make money off contracts somehow.

I attended a function today where it was presented that sweet, sweet Barbara Norton will soon be term-limited out of the seat she currently holds.

Any word on if she'll be returning to God's Country to continue her political career?

I've got $100 to her next campaign for the comedy value alone. I hope you'll all consider joining me.

The only shocking part of that statement is that she's been clever enough long enough to avoid indictment.

Can't she either simply switch from house/senate/house/senate or even from party to party to avoid ever leaving the legislature? (please please please) Her, er um uh, "wisdom" is surely needed at the state level.

I don't know what the current law is on the subject, but I think John Alario has been doing something like that for the last 30 years

$200k for a fence. I think they need another bid. Problem is, they fence off the courthouse lawn they'll just shite on the sidewalk, in the street, etc.

Buddy of mine said he saw a sign on a downtown business doorway last week: "Please Do Not Urinate in This Doorway."

The law says she "shall" be term limited. It don't say she got to be term limited.
