Tall buildings can create a canyon type effect with echoes bouncing back and forth. I'm not saying that's what happened but its possible.

I saw a couple of different witness interviews where they said they could not tell exactly where the shots were coming from due to the acoustics of the buildings.

I know absolutely nothing about either guns or acoustics so I'm going to say with absolute certainty that it is because there were multiple shooters.

this isn't rocket science; he was out for maximum carnage so its not a stretch to think he was firing 2 at the same time.

Been a while since I've been out there, but isn't Mandalay Bay sort of isolated as far as tall buildings go, with not really anything comparable around it?
