What's the middle number and the other conversion. Would it be 325?

I'm thinking 325x65x20?

Seems some tire companies go by the inch two number and some by 3. I'll never be able to understand that

A 295/60r20 is going to be 35.1"x11.6"

A 325/60r20 is going to be 35.4"x12.8"

Then of course there is the standard 35x12.5x20

Wow ok. So a 295 and 325 will both technically be a 35. One is just an inch wider.

So does the firs number decide width?

Because a 35x12x20 the middle number is width

First number is width in mm
Second number is a percentage of the first number. It's the height of sidewall
Third number is rim diameter.

That's the description I was looking for knew it was some sort of mathematical equation that went into it.

I run a 295/65r20 which is a true 35x11.8 Nobody has shy business running a 12.5 wide tire. Heavy heavy

315/60R20 and 35x12.5x20 are almost identical in tire dimensions. The naked eye wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

315(tread width in mm)/60(% of tread width/sidewall height)R20(wheel diameter in inches)

35(tire height in inches)x12.5(tread width in inches)x20(wheel diameter in inches)
