Stereo recs for a small, barebones boat?

Looking for a reliable/easy to use head unit, will only be using bluetooth or aux. I normally use a Bose portable but having it die out there sucks, and you can't hear anything while you're running. This system will be going into a small dinghy, so I'm trying to keep the weight to a minimum.
Any help is appreciated

I have no experience doing this but it's my next move.
Marine amp w/bluetooth. The prices seem to range from 40ish to 300ish. I plan on mounting it inside my center console and ditching the head unit.
This is the cheapest option I've seen. I'm wary of the Bluetooth range but it can't be any worse than my Sony head unit.

Pics of the boat would help. I'm an audio guy and I small skiff owner, I find a durable small Bluetooth speaker is better for a small boat application.

Would be ideal

It's a small old skeeter that I'm currently restoring, right at 14 feet. Really similar to a Gheenoe. Will not have a center console but will have fore/aft decks

Yes, I've seen that sweet arse thing on the OB. Where would you place the speakers ?

If you strictly want Bluetooth/Aux and no radio:
Get the fusion Bluetooth to RCA unit ($50)
LINK
and a JL compact marine amp ($150)

It will be way more powerful and clear than you need, but the same price as a headunit and much smaller. We have that JL amp powering 4 speakers, and it's loud and clear cruising 55mph with a 200hp hammered down

What's your plan for speakers?

Fusion unit receives Bluetooth from your phone. Outputs it via RCA cable in an unamplified form.
You plug those RCA cables into the RCA input of the JL amp. This amplifies it. Hook speakers into the output of amp.
For aux in, you would just plug a headphone jack/RCA adapter cable into amp input

Thanks. I have zero experience with amps.

Want to bump this thread. My aluminum shallow-water boat build is now underway. Want to put in a compact system to be able to listen to music while running/fishing. Am intrigued by this simple bluetooth amp unit. Any good deals going on right now? Also, need speaker recs....wanting to mount them under the catwalks on either side, but still leave room for gun/rod holders. Bullet style maybe??
Not expecting to go cheap route, will pay for quality and clarity.
Example of what the boat will be like when finished:

I went cheap and got this one for my duck boat:
boss Audio
simple and cheap for when I bang it up and ruin it like every other marine stereo I've ever had. If you are not concerned with price, look at wet sounds.
