He'll be back for camp. I'm sure at this point, a broken toenail in preseason and he'll sit for precautionary reasons.

How much would it cost us to cut ties w/ him? I truly feel we just need to move on at this point.

That makes no sense. If it "costs" us to cut him why wouldn't we just keep him and hope for the best?

When ( healthy ) he is above average. Just seems some players, after signing, use any excuse to not practice or play
Saving their bodies for the next contract I guess. Weak

I think there is enough competition at LB'er( ) that if he is not full go for game one he will be cut.

Definitely a money question....if it provides any cost savings, even with lost cap money, where you can sign a FA for depth, ST, etc....you have to consider it. Guy just can't stay on the field. Has had flashes of brilliance with an impact, but man talk about 'fragile'... LB depth this season is the best we have had in years. Contribute or move on.

Ellerbee? Again???

This guy is what my high school head football coach called a "Whirlpool All-Star".

Injuries and training camp for Ellerbee are like peanut butter and jelly...they go hand in hand.

He only makes 3.2mil this year. He's pretty a damn good LB when he's in the game, & our only difference maker at the position. He's good in all 3 phases(run, pass, & blitzing). I think he'd easily be worth that price if he only played 8 games for us.

I can't see us cutting him unless it's obvious that he's going to be out for most of the year. It's not like we have any better options. We have good depth at LB, but not very good starting caliber LB's.

This guy is a straight up ham. This is exactly why Miami traded him to the Saints. He has gotten away with faking injuries and knows he can go to the well anytime he feels like it. He may be a talented player, but how much is enough??

he's not faking the injuries, dude is just made of glass.

this is also why baltimore didn't want to invest money long term into him and let himleave for that 5/35mil contract.

He's still easily the best LB that we have. Hopefully we can get him for a full season or close to it.

I'm not discounting his talent, I just think he's a ham.
