I lived in Iowa 3 years and never once tried cheese curds. Kinda disappointed in myself.

Whole Foods has some. They aren't very good quality.

Years ago Martin's on Vets had them when they redid their store and expanded their deli. No idea if they still do.

The beef jerky outlet on veterans has them.

Real cheese curds squeak when you chew them. The ones I've had from whole foods are very disappointing and don't come close to real ones.

Chili's has a decent fried curd app. I stopped there to poop one day and discovered them while reading the menu whilst pooping.
