What an incredible and unbelievable fight that was. Round 9 is still the round of the century.

I can't think of many rounds better than Round 9. It had more action than most entire fights do. I think both guys punched themselves out twice in that round.

Gatti's heart was unreal. The blood and guts warrior.

How does the Wahlberg movie not base itself around this fight. I know the "struggle" story is good and all, but barely mentioning these 3 fights in the post credits did a huge disservice to both fighters.
Now Wahlberg is WAY too old to make that film.

It was dumb. It would be like filming Rudy and reducing the Georgia Tech game to a footnote in the credits.
I don't think Mahhhk is too old now, though. IMW looked 55 in that trilogy. Just has an old look to him.

That first body shot knockdown by Ward in the beginning of the round was brutal. That would put the average man down for a week.....
