The opening scene playing "Anything Goes": Bargaining for a diamond with an ancient emperor's ashes. The waiter friend dying in Indys arms while muttering the iconic line "I followed you on many adventures -- but into the great Unknown Mystery, I go first, Indy..". Using a flaming shush kabob to impale an enemy, getting poisoned and still getting the cure while at the same time the love interest is looking for the diamond mixed in with a spilled bucket of ice in a huge panicked crowd while balloons are dropping everywhere. Using a huge gong as a rolling shield from machine gun fire while Indy crashes through a 3 story window with the babe in tow as window hangings save them from the fall. I will always love this movie. It starts fast and stays fast, never a dull moment, peak 80s awesomeness.

Will always be one of my favorites. I really wish they hadn't abandoned the series when they did. Connery and Ford were amazing together in the third one. We deserved an encore.

My fave due to the timing in my childhood. The lunchroom jokes about eating beatles and monkey brains were endless.

I need to watch it again as it has been a long time since I have watched it in its entirety. I do have some fond memories of it, but I feel as it is just on a lower level than ROTLA and TLC.
When compared to those two movies (which are all time great) is where it suffers I guess. The other two have the advantage of using Christian symbols and themes to bring the audience in and feel more authentic to them. Temple of Doom was a one-off that included the unbelievable story of a evil priest ripping hearts out of peoples chest and magic stones, etc, etc. While it may not be any more far-fetched than the other two movies it was not familiar to a christian audience so I think that hurts it some also.

I wasn't allowed to see it in the theater when I was a kid because my mom had heard about the heart scene. I had to wait about two or three years until it was finally released on VHS. Yes, Spielberg and Lucas use to make us wait years to see their movies on video.

Talking about Temple of Doom was a playground staple. I mean, it's so aimed at kids. It's our version of the 50's monster movie.

It was better than the one with Lebeauf.
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Are you like 92 years old or do you just not consider the last one a valid Indy movie? Can't tell if I need to down or upvote. TIA

That movie was extremely controversial when it came out.

Temple of doom really isn't bad at all. I quite enjoy it.

Last Crusade was absolutely a valid Indy movie and a damn good one at that.

Yep, opening scene was awesome. The fact that the club was called "Obiwan's" was pretty cool too.

Temple of Doom is my favorite Indiana Jones movie. Capshaw and her tits are hot, and my favorite line from any movie came from this movie.

One of my all time favorite movies and my favorite Indy movie as I had this one on tape as a kid.
As an adult, I appreciate that the other two are better movies...but this one will always hold a special place.

Same here. I had Return of the Jedi and Temple of Doom recorded on a VHS. I probably watched those two movies 200 times. When I watch them now I know at what point the commercial was at.

I had a record of the Empire Strikes Back that I must've listened to hundreds of times. To this day, I can still hear the narrator when I watch the movie.

The bug scenes still haunt me.

Last one? The Last Crusade was not only valid but incredible! I think you are the one that is confused.

The funny thing is that some of the dialogue on the record was different from the movie.
