If they are anything like the camps Harbaugh has used at Michigan, then no. But if they hold them on campus, then probably. It was bundled with the vote the ncaa just had about early signing periods and the extra assistant coaches. Coaches can participate in clinics and camps for ten days in June and July and they must occur in on-campus facilities.

Like the above poster mentioned - new rule seems to prevent camps like the one in Shreveport last year. But let's say Louisiana Tech hosts a mega camp in Ruston, then LSU can go and it'd be a lot like the Shreveport camp ... just hosted by La Tech.
I know Memphis and Samford have mega camps this summer, but I think the whole Satellite camp thing is out the window from my interpretation of what I read. Basically a satellite camp could occur anywhere previously, now they're locked down to campuses... whether or not JuCos count or DII or DIII or NAIA schools - not sure.

It would be more likely that LSU has a camp out of state, maybe with Frank at UTSA. I don't see the benefit for instate schools to team with LSU and lose possible diamonds in the rough.

FIFY... El Paso would be pretty worthless, so isolated and desolate.
Frank is in San Antonio.

Last player we got from San Antonio was a hardcore criminal. Trey Lelamatafoa or whatever his name was should make the coaches be very careful who they choose to recruit from there.

You're correct. Sorry about that.

Part of the new rules being considered is that schools are allowed to hold satellite camps within a certain number of miles from campus. Can't remember the mileage, but it's not very far. So your out of state camps might be gone.

Couldn't they have acamp at LSU-S in shreveport? Just convert one of the fields into a temp football field.
