This is probably a travel board question but I figure I'll get a quicker response on the OT. Are there any passport renewal locations in Lafayette, Baton Rouge or Houston that are open on weekends? Here in Calcasieu parish the only location we have is the clerk of courts office and they stop taking applications at 3:30 Monday-Friday.

I mailed mine in today. Should take a few weeks.

You can renew on this board. Just need SS#, current address, and pics of wife for confirmation.

If you have a picture, you can mail it in and pay for the expedited costs.

Go to a CVS or Walgreens and they can take the picture you need. Then go to the post office, and they will have everything you need to mail it off. I got mine back in about 3.5 weeks.

Forgot to mention it's for my child so it has to be done in person.

Bluebonnet post office is open a half day on Saturdays (actually a little more than half if I remember correctly). No appointment needed. We brought pictures and had the forms all filled out but I think they can take the picture there for you as well. If you have everything filled out and in order it's about a 5 minute deal. They verify everything, sign off where they need to, take your payment and send it off. Pretty painless.

Oh, yeah that has to be done in person. We're still gonna need those wife pics though.

How long ago did you go there? USPS.com shows that only the Florida St. Post Office downtown accepts passport applications and is open on Saturday.

I called earlier and they are open on Saturdays for passport apps until 3.

Of course the USPS wouldn't have the correct information on their website. The phrase "tits on a bull" comes to mind.

I just saw this post. It was already answered but we went recently. We saw their Saturday hours on the passport information website, not the post office site.
