Starting to see the downside to playing on the same island for multiple games.... I wanna tear everything down and start over because different scenarios require different layouts. And my own people are destroying me. Before I can even really get comfortable and complete the main challenges, my military fricking attacks.. then shortly after they start, the frickin rebels start. Literally 4 minutes after the game starts. I was trying to fix it the last time I played on this island, but you can't continue playing once you're done with the scenario

I never do the scenarios. Always do random map sandbox

Yeah. I've fully given up on campaign. frick that. I even put it on the easiest difficulties and its pissing me off. Right off the bat, I get attacked by Rebels and my own military.
I can't do anything. I have a challenge to build 6 towers. But I can't in the middle of a coup. The buildings get to 99% until the problem is solved. But I only have 6 months to build the towers. And it literally takes 6 months for the tanks to get to the capital before my militia and jets even start attacking it. This game just seems broken. I was really high on it during the first few missions. Now it's just down right impossible and I have no choice but to start from scratch
Sandbox is fun, but I like building with a purpose. I feel like all I'm doing in sandbox is building just for the hell of it. Yeah, you have to manage your economy and citizens' happiness, but I like the goals associated with the campaign.... As long as they're fricking possible.

I've done that a few hundred times lol.
You don't have to take every mission. There's no reason to have a huge military just for the hell of it. I've learned the key is to build as slowly as possible

unfortunately no, almost picked up 4 for cheap a while back but passed because I wanted the full edition.

My island is fine. Until I hit the mission where you have to build a time machine. Then suddenly, no one wants to work... Which includes groceries, super markets and some farms. So happiness goes down and I have revolts and coups
But I started from scratch again and I'm organizing my island better.

It's frustrating.
I'm stuck because every time I load into my game, I get wrecked by rebels 5 minutes into the game. When I start off, the happiness on the island is at ~33%
And when I finally get it up to around 45% the rebels attack and destroy everything so it goes down to like 20% and so they attack again and destroy the palace

Fun easy plat. Didn't play any of the dlcs, though.
