Advocate reporting Brandon Lawley resigned yesterday. There has to be more to this story than being reported

I still find it completely nuts that a guy who I played little league ball with was a head coach at a 5A school. I mean hell, I just turned 30 this year.

Not like they can do much better than they did this past year..

People weren't exactly lining up to take the Walker job

he actually did a decent job. They were 0 and 20 the two previous seasons. His first season he brought them to 5-5 and his second to 7-3. With that success, the stadium rebuild and turf, along with a new school maybe they will be able to attract someone decent.

I had him when he was a student teacher at WestSide Junior High. He's a good dude but a no bull shite kind of guy and can come across as pretty mean. I don't think he would be forced to leave for this reason. It does seem interesting.

Well a 30 year old is now an NFL head coach as well.

His out of district scheduling had a lot to do with that. Scheduled teams he knew they could easily beat. In 2 years they only won 2 district games

You rag on that scheduling, but they weren't beating anybody before

Him resigning had nothing to do with coaching. He was a bad teacher. And LP IS STRICT on classroom teaching

So he was teaching meth lab?

I'm curious as to what he taught. I find it surprising that he was teaching a rigorous academic schedule being a head coach at a 5A school.

Might be a bit of an arse hole. Definitely seems that way when watching them play. I think he even got restricted to coaching from the press box for a game or 2.

They beat denham by like 8 touchdowns
All 3 regular season losses this year were by 6 points or less.
That's only in 2 seasons at Walker as HC. Only a fool would think that guy isn't a damn good coach.
