I am trying to remember the name of this film I saw on television a few years ago.

It had a male lead but he was paired with a very attractive "jungle woman" ; I'm calling her this, she may have been a city girl in jungle "garb". She's in like a brown loincloth. Think "Fur Bikini"

Very attractive female actress, large bust. Dark hair.

The movie had kind of a "Journey to the center of the Earth" vibe.

The movie was likely made between the 60s-80s

It was not:

One million years BC

Jungle Girl

Queen of the Jungle

Sheena : Queen of the Jungle

On up the jungle

Beastmaster

Barbarella

King Kong

Liane Jungle Goddess

Planet of the Apes

Caveman

UPDATE---

The answer is Dana Gillespie in "The People Time Forgot"

Your description of her makes me think of Jessica Lange in King Kong.

It wasn't Beastmaster, was it?

Can you give us some more plot description?

Thank you for all the replies.

I did look at all of the movies mentioned and updated the list of what it was not.

The only further advice I can offer is that I do not believe this actress is very "Famous" ; She may have been a model.

The male in the movie played a much larger part.

She was brunette and her most prominent feature was her dark hair, large breast and "skimpy" outfit.

You can't be thinking of Caveman with Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach, can you?

There is "Five Days in a Balloon". It starred Fabian, Barbara Eden and BarBara Luna.

quote:

A scholar and explorer, Dr. Samuel Ferguson, accompanied by his manservant Joe and his friend professional hunter Richard "Dick" Kennedy, sets out to travel across the African continent — still not fully explored — with the help of a balloon filled with hydrogen

quote:

Five Weeks has a handful of similarities to the novel Journey to the Center of the Earth. There is the same sort of conjecture from current scientific ideas and what Verne puts forth as the actual truth (though Five Weeks is far more successful, assuming there is any attempt at accuracy with Journey).
